60,000 new jobs sought for Denver Regional Census Center

Denver-based Virtegic Group, Inc. awarded recruitment advertising contract
DENVER, September 26, 2008 -- A goal to fill 60,000 new jobs in 10 states by the U.S. Census Bureau was announced today by Denver-based Virtegic Group. The company was awarded a two-year contract to provide advertising recruitment services for the Denver Regional Census Center which includes Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North and South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
Nationally, the U.S. Census Bureau must recruit approximately 3.8 million applicants for temporary census positions. This is the largest peacetime mobilization effort in America's history.

"The Denver Regional Census Center is a highly diverse geographic area, and will require us to be creative in how we go about getting the word out. The Denver Regional Census Center has a goal of 60,000 applicants for the first annual drive, which began in October and runs through April 2009. The campaign will consist of traditional media such as local newspapers, radio and television, as well as Internet based techniques.

The U.S. Air Force Outreach Program Office has selected Denver based Virtegic Group, Inc to help the organization study and subsequently revitalize its small business outreach program. Housed at Brook City Base in San Antonio, the office is under the supervision of Mrs. Renee Wesley-Case, who with her staff, are working closely with Virtegic to get a better profile of today’s small business marketplace with an eye toward improving communication with the sector. Focus groups and other informal techniques will be used to gather market-data which will be incorporated as part of an overall SWOT analysis and updated marketing program. The program is expected to last a year.
